Hello all! Id like to start by saying this site is amazing. I'm currently installing Viper 5806v remote start + alarm in my 2011 Nissan Xterra. I'm using a Directed DB3 immobilizer bypass which has been flashed for my truck by a local audio shop. After reading through these threads like the ancient scrolls, I've cleared up a lot of questions about my install. There are still some things I want to confirm and I'd also like to share some things I've learned. In this thread I'd like to document what I've learned or future reference, and hopefully help someone else out down the road!

First of all, 2nd starter. It's use remains vague. In the diagrams for my truck, it looks like this "2nd starter" branch goes off into the IPDM and CAN wires, as well as an inhibitor switch, eventually tying into the coil side of the IPDMs internal starter relay. So it's obvious that it necessary for operation.

So from what I understand, my truck has 2 starter wires, 2 accessory wires, and 1 ignition wire.

-Starter 1 will be the starter output from the RS heavy gauge harness.
-Starter 2 will be on a relay circuit using Ignition 2 Flex of RS heavy gauge harness, set to 2nd start in programming.
-Ignition 1 will be on the Ignition output of the RS heavy gauge harness.
-Accessory 1 will go to accessory output of the RS heavy gauge harness.
-Accessory 2 ??

I'm using a Directed DB3 immobilizer bypass. I hooked up to the can wires in OBD2 so that I can use the D2D install. It seems like the DB3 doesn't not respond to the key in this configuration. I cannot pair the key with the DB3. Going to try W2W install I'm guessing my Xterra isn't giving the module all the info it needs through CAN.

Did the local audio shop print out the DB3 403.NISS1HT Ver 4.22 Install Guide for you? That is the guide you need for this install.

Going D2D between the Viper and the DB3 really doesn't have anything to do with the DB3 to vehicle CAN connection.
As for the DB3 recognizing the key, did you make the DB3 immo data and clock connections at the NATS 4 Pin switch?

With the actual Viper to ignition wire connections, the Viper can directly support 4 of the required 5.
Remote Start, 10-pin heavy gauge connector
1 NC No Connection
2 RED/BLACK (+) FUSED 12V ACCESSORY/STARTER INPUT......................+12V Constant Green
3 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A key side FLEX RELAY................Not Used
4 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY OUTPUT...set to Starter2........Starter2 Light Green
5 RED (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 1 INPUT...................................................+12V Constant Green
6 GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT (KEY SIDE OF THE STARTER KILL)...............Starter1 (cut wire) Gray *
7 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE OF THE STARTER KILL)...........Starter1 (cut wire) Gray
8 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT.............................................................ACC1 Red
9 RED/WHITE (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY INPUT 87.............+12V Constant Green
10 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT..............................................Ignition White/Green
* Starter Kill is not mandatory. If you don't want/need it don't cut the Starter1 wire and only make the Violet connection.

You will need a 30/40 Amp SPDT relay with harness for ACC2. Wire as follows :
Relay Pin 86 and 87 to +12V Constant Green
Relay Pin 30 to ACC2 Green/Yellow
Relay Pin 86 to Viper thin Orange (-) 200mA Accessory Output

I did get the install instructions with the flash. I hooked it up as directed including the nats wires. For the key programming, it says to turn the key to the on position and then back off and the led on the DB3 should turn from red to amber. Mine stays solid red. this was a "rough draft" trial, so the next time I work on it I'm going to go through it a bit more methodically. It may just be something I overlooked.

RS wiring makes sense now. Thank you for clearing that up! The -200ma orange wire is from the smaller gauge aux harness correct?

"The -200ma orange wire is from the smaller gauge aux harness correct?"

Yes. Might be H2/22, don't have a 5806 install guide to be sure. It will control the external relay and supply an isolated ACC2 output.

Just noticed a typo in the following line :
Relay Pin 86 to Viper thin Orange (-) 200mA Accessory Output

That should be Pin 85 not Pin 86. Sorry.
