Having some issues hoping you guys can point me in the right direction

The install is on a 2008 Mercedes ML550. Key start (no push to start).

starter install went fine. Can remote start the car by pressing lock button 3X on factory key fob.

Installed Drone X1 module. Was able to control vehicle fine with no issues. Free trial was expiring so I registered for the monthly plan. App lost communication with vehicle 2 days after trial period expired. Currently have a service ticket in with Drone Mobile waiting for reply. But wanted to get some ideas if anyone thinks something else should be checked. Seems too much of a coincidence to ignore the timing.

Problem 2:

The kit that I bought had the drone mobile X1 module AND an FMX long range 2 way remote. I have not been able to program the remote to the car starter. I followed the direction online

key on (pos 2) to pos 1 X5. Leave ignition on pos 2 on 5th time. to put it into programming mode.

the light on the FMX never turns on. Instructions say if light does not turn on to push button on FMX, light should turn on, but does not.

I have tried it in all the 4 pin ports that it can plug into. Blue, red, black X2. None of them seem to do anything. I assume it should be plugged into the blue port on the CMBMXA0 module because the cord on the antenna is blue. But just in case I tried it in the programming port, and the red port.

Im not sure what else to try. One other video I found online side to cycle the key from pos 2 to off 5X. when I try that nothing happens either. When I cycle between pos 2 and pos 1 I at least get the outside lights on the main module turn on red, and the hazards blink 1 time. About 5 seconds later they blink 2X, followed by a pause, and then 2x again.

I have also confirmed the programming of the module is correct. I reprogrammed it just to be sure, still no luck.

Any insight or suggestions I am willing to try anything

Drone support has been able to help a little bit with this.

the Module I bought from a USA dealer. Even though it will work anywhere in North America, there is a separate module for Canada (Where I live). that would be the X1R-LT module. So, the theory is that I have been using roaming data for the past month, and the account has maxed out its allowed roaming data which is why I am not able to communicate with the module.

So, that makes me have a new question.

does anyone know if the modules are SIM locked? Or could I simply get my hands on an X1R sim and drop it in my X1-LTE module and start using the Canadian cell carriers?

the Drone customer service person is unsure. So I figured I would ask here while I wait for them to find out. Hopefully one of you fine people have tried this and know the answer.
