Hi all,

I’ve resisted the temptation to post, but now I’m stuck. Actually I have two questions, but I’ll put them both here.

I’ve installed this 5806x in a 1991 F150 XLT Lariat. For a 1991, the XLT Lariat has all the bells and whistles. Power locks, windows, tilt, ac, etc.

1st question is about the ignition controlled locks. The locks work with the remote and of course the switches. Remote start works, dome light supervision works, unlock and lock work with the remote as of course does the alarm. Basically everything. Not bad for my second DEI install. The last one that I did was in my 91 T-Bird and it had the auto lock feature, so I never used it on the alarm.

What doesn’t work is the lock function when I turn on the key. Unlock does work. I used the relay setup that is on here for the five wire locks. I’ve tried all the menu options just in case the manual was wrong. No dice.
Ideas?

Second question. I also have the 535t window module. I’ve not installed it yet, but have it 90% figured out. What I am looking for is to understand if the driver’s motor wires come into the cab or if I have to run wires into the door. I’m pretty sure that I can get to the passenger side windows in the driver’s side kickpanel, but what about the driver’s side? I am hoping that they are in the cab because I’ve already installed sound insulation on the door, inside and behind the door card. Don’t want to cut it open if I don’t have to.

Thanks in advance

Jeff
