2008 ford expedition Eddie Bauer.   I installed a Python 3105P alarm. Everything is working perfect except when I disarm the puddle lights do not come on. The puddle lights do work if I use the factory fob to unlock the truck. But that does not turn off the alarm. So I know the circuit works. My question is do I just tap into the the F connector pin 12 at the SLB Gray Violet wire for dome? Can I just use the same dome light supervision wire from the alarm? Will I need to diode this connection? A have a relay set up for the domelight supervicion already going to the SJB box. Thanks.

This is the wiring information that I have for that vehicle:

Dome Light     gray/violet (dome lamps);      +     SJB in pass kick, gry 14 pin plg (F), pin 9
Dome Light          violet (puddle lamps);      +     SJB in pass kick, gry 26 pin plug (D), pin 12

Both of these are positive, so they are activated by applying 12V to the wire. The Black/White Domelight output from the 3105P is a negative signal, so you'll need to use this to trigger a relay to provide a 12V output when the domelight signal from the 3105P is active. You'll also want to have a diode in series with each signal to keep them isolated.

The relay connections should be as follows:

Pin 86 and Pin 30: Fused +12V
Pin 85: Black/White Domelight output from the 3105P
Pin 87: output to Diodes
Pin 87a: not connected

A general purpose (i.e., such as 1N4004) diode is recommended across the relay coil, banded end connected to pin 86, unbanded end connected to pin 87.

You'll need 2 general purpose diodes (i.e., 1N4004) for your outputs; the two unbanded ends are connected together and also connect to pin 87 of the relay; the banded end (positive output) of one diode connects to the puddle lamp wire listed above, the banded end (positive output) of the other diode connects to the domelight wire listed above.

Hope this helps.
