Thought I had everything ready to attempt my first install but ran into an issue. I purchased a new Blade AL to insert into an old but never used Compustar CM-5200. The problem I’m having is that the 5200’s 20 pin won’t accept the Blade 20 pin harness. Am I missing something? Is there maybe a new and old style connector? If so, are the old ones still available anywhere?
Thanks in advance

You are correct, there was an older style harness. The original harness didn't have a latch to keep it securely plugged in so they made the change. The wire colors and pin out is the same between them.

Here is a photo of the two types :

I use a tie wrap to secure the harness in newer controllers. I've never tried it the other way, new cable in old controller.

I'll swap my old style one for your new style harness if you want. Just PM me with address, etc.

Your response is much appreciated. I couldn’t find any information regarding the two different connectors. And I guess I can stop loosing my mind trying to fit them together hahaha.
I’ll send you a PM later on.

Thank you very much!
