HELLO

i am attempting to inatall Viper 5305v Combo System.. I wonder of there is anything special that I need to know before installation?

I Assume I do not need bypasa for the remote start?

If this is your key, actions need to be taken. If your key does not have the resistor blister, no action needed.

Good, F.I. is expected with remote start systems as there is no easy way to set the carburetors' choke or pump the gas pedal...

So just straight away follow diagam from directwires?

NO bypass needed for Remote start?

Pretty much. Some minor issues to deal with.
1. Factory Power locks are (+) and Viper lock outputs are (-). Get a 451M module to handle the conversion.
2. Run in Tach Mode using Tach Signal from coil.
3. Parking Lights are (+) so set Viper 5305 to output (+) Parking Light output via fuse/jumper.
4. There are two ACC ignition wires, Orange & Brown. Set the Viper Pink/White to ACC2 and use it.
5. If the Camaro has a trunk light use it as the Trunk Pin source.
6. If the door pins still work you can use the Dome Light wire as the Viper All Door Pin Input.

If the ignition key does not have the VATS resistor chip on it, no need for a bypass module. You mentioned a plain metal key so you should be good to go.
