OK i have never installed a alarm before but i did quite a fiew stereos so i have some basic knowlege.

I have a Crime Stopper CS-2011RS remote start/alarm which i will be puting into a 1996 Dodge Intrepid and i have a few questions.

1) I have some sort of feature that locks the doors automaticaly after i hit 15mph. Will it affect the install in any way?

2) Were is the Dome Light activation wire? or should i just tap into the door triger switch?

3)Were can i tap into the TACH? It says Coil Pack But i dont know were that is.

4)Were Should I mount the Shock Sensor?

5)I have 2 Ignitions why is that? what is the diference between the two? should i connect both of them?

6)were is the best place for the brain in this install.

7)There is a need to connect 2 positive + wires directly to the battery how should i do that? should i just take 2 wires and Put them around the + battery terminal or is there a distribution place there.

Thanx for looking at my post if you have any additional comments/tips let me know if you feel like answering only 1 question please do so any help would be nice

Should not.

The door triger is used unless you can find the wire in the drivers kick panel.

3)Were can i tap into the TACH? It says Coil Pack But i dont know were that is.

Under the hood either on the side of the engine or fender. Just follow the wire from the distributor back to the coil.

4)Were Should I mount the Shock Sensor?

Steering column.

5)I have 2 Ignitions why is that? what is the diference between the two? should i connect both of them?

One powers the engine stuff, the other powers stuff like the heater/ac.

6)were is the best place for the brain in this install.

That's personal preference. Somewhere that is out of the way and is relitively hidden.

7)There is a need to connect 2 positive + wires directly to the battery how should i do that? should i just take 2 wires and Put them around the + battery terminal or is there a distribution place there.

Run them both separate with individual fuses directly to the battery. Don't waste your time finding a power under the dash like some alarm company's and some installers say, you'll just be asking for problems.

OK im installing a remote start in my 96 intrepid and aparently it has 2 ignitions, 1airbag ignition and an accesory i always thought that its a hirarchical system were if you are in the ignition 1 position(with key) it activates accesory and if you are in ignition 2 position it activates accesory and ignition 1. so i figured that i will need to provide 12v to ignition2 wire and that will feed accesory and ignition 1. am i wrong(i think i am)? my remote start provides 3 wires one for ignition 1 one for accesory and one for ignition 2 so should i hook all those wires apropriatley and then split the ignition 2 and connect it to the air bag wire and the ignition 2 wire. which ignition is the last position before the starter ing 1 or ign 2?

my alarm has a wire labeled (-) 500mA Dome Light Illumination Output

i dont know exactly when it illuminates the dome light. is it when you pull the key out of the ignition? anyways i want to hook it up to the DOOR TRIGGER(-) wire but i think it might give problems. for instantance when i open the door how will the alarm know i opened the door scince this wire is showing ground and how will it know when i closed the door scince the  Dome Light Illumination Output will keep the door trigger negative. im guessing the alarm will arm(lock) when all the doors are closed but this Dome Light Illumination Output will create the illusuion that the door is open.

What you have to so is set up a relay for the 3rd IGN ( AIRBAG wire ). Use this diagram for the 3rd IGN wire.

You need to hook this wire up to a relay that will output a (-) signal to the door trigger wire. The alarm will not arm until the dome light is off. Use this diagram for the (-) dome light output.

OK more pre installation questions. i have a whole bunch of rellay that i will be installing to aid the alarm including:

dome illumination

Trunk Pop

and these relays require 12v constant and ground. should i just run a additional fused 12v and a ground wire and connect all the relays to it. if so what fuse should i use. i am also very interested in installing the passanger door unlock feature which makes it so that first press opens driver door and second press opens the rest of the doors. now i have a crimesopper cs-2011rs III alarm and a dodge intepid 96 which has positive door locks is it possible to install this feature. i also heard that this dodge has a posibility of burning out the door acutators has anyone else herd this or knows how to prevent it.

Run an additional 12 volt fuse ( fuse at 20 amps ) for the relays and use the same grounding point as the remote starter ground, use a star configuration. If the 2011RS doesn't have the driver priority door unlock then you will have a hard time doing this. Just make sure you use relays on the door lock wires and you will not burnout any actuators.

OK i have another question how come you have to connect  the Airbag light(third ignition) through a relay, why cant i just connect it to the second ignition wire on my alarm.

another question i was using a multimeter to test wires and i came across somthing weird. the wire to which 12v is aplied to open the trunk showed continuity with ground meaning it is ground. if that is so shouldnt the aplication of 12v to that wire cause a short.

Because you're already using the second igniton output from your remote start , you'll want to use a relay to keep the vehicle's second igniton lead and the air bag lead isolated. While they may both show 12V+ while running, the relay will keep them isolated, duplicating the ignition switch, while operating the vehicle with the key as they are now.

The trunk release motor will show continuity to ground on the positive lead with the negative side grounded with no power on the positive lead, just as a light bulb does.

ok what is the purpose of keeping the ignition2 isolated from airbag(ignition3). what are the consequences.
