Truck is a 2003 F250 7.3l Diesel. So recently the weather has dropped into the high 50s low 60s in the morning when I go to start the truck. It's giving me the start then stop 3 times in a row. I can also hear the starter run after truck is started and make grinding noises. It never did that before. I read up that they say you can redo the tach sensing by relearning when it's cold outside. I did that (start truck, foot on brake for 10 seconds, keep foot on brake, press and hold remote start button) and it gives me 3 flashing lights which means error and needs to be taken in. I tried it 3 times before I gave up. Why would this work fine in the summer but once fall weather hits it does this? Any ideas?

where did you get it installed? I would take it back, get them to set the diesel delay to 10 seconds, and hook up/check the tach wire.

I installed it. The delay timer is set to 7 which is more than enough time. I installed the tach wire as well. It's been installed since May or so and never had any problems prior.

did you use the tach in the "bundle" under the dash? the lt green/white that's a pretty dirty source. look for a difference tach, or you might need a tach generator like directed part# 454T

I believe I did, yes. Why would it work during summer then mess up during cooler weather? I'll definitely try to reprogram it again, but it's odd that it will do that. I could always tape into my alternator as they have a spare wire passing through the firewall that I could use.
