Hello. I have a 2013 f150 platinum with 8” mytouch Sony amplified system. I want to install an easyguard ec003 remote start purely for the push button start and passive keyless entry. I don’t want to take my keys out of pocket if it can be done for $100 or so. I just wanted to make sure I can install this in the truck and not damage my factory system. I have a bypass module with a key to put in and hide in colum. I can remove steering wheel lock. Another thing is that the system will not work with a double pulse unlock vehicle. Looks like my truck is a - Pyle unlock, but how do I determine if it’s double? I don’t need to wire up the horn, lights or anything. Just want the remote start, push button and passive keyless. I have all the wire locations. I have an idatalink link t harness for the truck, I know it’s for a specific remote module, but I have both wiring diagrams so I wanted to use the t harness to avoid cutting factory wires. From my understanding I won’t have an option on the easyguard to connect to canH and canL, will that cause any issues? Not worried about door triggers or the actual alarm function. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve installed a few systems, but nothing in a can bud vehicle. And of course the only plug and play kit with passive keyless entry is for a 15 and up

Not sure where your first response went, but I’m going to look at the cylinder and see if I can remove the lock pin, if not I’m going to cut a key just long enough to grab by pliers, leave it in the on position. Assuming the remote start push start module takes over the ignition completely, as in kills power even with a key in the “run position. I also have a bypass module with it that I’m putting a key with the chip inside for the security bypass. The only concern I have is if the truck is a double pulse unlock, and can taping into the factory unlock wire could damage the can network of the lock system is even part of it.
