I had this alarm system installed by Best Buy in 2013 when I bought the truck. Just recently the remote start isn't working and it is triggering the factory alarm. I've been digging into it and it has a dball installed for the bypass. I see the green led flash on the dball when I try to remote start it. It immediately triggers the factory alarm.
I hooked up forscan and the reason the factory alarm is being triggered is "Ignition Tampering" event. The pitstop mode is working fine where I turn on remote start with the engine running and then remove the key.
The only change to the truck that I've done is upgrade from Sync2 to Sync3 system. I was told that shouldn't affect the factory alarm by the vendor.
Any help would be appreciated in troubleshooting the problem.
