I have an Avital 5303 installed on a 1969 Dodge.
For the LCD key fob, I'm just wondering if I can turn off the melodies. I'm not a fan of them. :)
Are there any other key fobs, with screens, that would work with this system? I installed an EFI system that has a can bus if that helps with add ons. I like the smart key LCD fobs, but I don't think they work with my old car. I don't have a start button, I need to turn a key in the ignition switch.
I'm still working on the car. Everything related to alarm and power doors and such seems to work, except for the remote start. Before I start looking for a wiring issue, just curious if the open brake system is triggering the inhibit icon on the remote screen. The car basically has no brakes hooked up so the dash brake light is on. I'm assuming this affects the switch at the brake pedal and makes the remote start function unavailable?

did you ground out the blk/white wire, the neutral safety switch?..

I should, but I will double check. I have the little dip swtich under the dash and I know that one is in the mix somehow. It's been about 7 years sonce I installed it all and the memory is blurry.
