Trying To Install Viper 412V, 1999 Chevrolet Silverado

Trying to install a Viper 412V in a 1999 Chevy Silverado. The truck was owned by my father and he had a GM VSL 4200 from the dealer about 20+ years ago because the truck didn't come with a keyless entry system installed from the factory and is starting to crap out. I bought a Viper 412V Keyless Entry to replace the existing alarm system. I was told by Viper that this one works with most existing alarm systems. I have tried but I am at a lose on this one.
