Subject: How do I wire a switch?

Hey guys.  I'm trying to wire power door locks into my '92 civic.  I'm using 2 relays, 2 actuators, and a momentary switch.  I've checked out the diagrams here on this site, but all seem to use an alarm as part the circuit.  I would like to wire the door locks up without using an alarm since I don't have one right now.  So, how do I wire this together to run off just a switch?  Can I add an alarm w/ keyless entry in the future to this?  Thanks in advance for any help.

to help clarify, the actuators I have have 2 wires.  They need negative on one and positive on the other to push.  The polarity needs to then be reversed (ie-negative to positive and positive to negative) to pull.  The actuators are made by IMPACT if that helps.

just use the set-up from this site, but instead of the alarm input use the switch, i rocker switch is the easiest to hook up this way.

ohh the reason i say to do that is so that if you want to add an alarm in the future, you can just hook it up to the already existing relays

Just like xetmes said, use forth diagram down from the top of the page that this link takes you to:

Relay Page

You just need to connect the two outside pins from the switch to the either of the pins on the relay that are currently connected to the alarm output. Then the center pin on the switch should would go to chasis ground.

Thanks for the info...one more question though, should I be using the 5-wire hookup or the reverse polarity hookup?  I was thinking reverse polarity.

Reverse polarity, it worked for me...

My switch issue

I had to put one on my '91 Integra, but it wasn't like the wiring diagrams posted on here.  Lucky I have a car alarm and started probing around with a ground and hit the right pins for lock and unlock and tapped in.  I'll go check it out...

Thanks for all the help, I'll go try it out.  Ignore my earlier post, JRILLA already said use the 4th on down in the post prior to it.  My bad ;-)
