I installed a compustar cm900 on my 2004 dodge ram slt gasser with black key about a year ago. everything worked fine up to about a week ago. I was driving and the door locks cycled a few times. didn't think too much about it. went to unlock the truck and nothing. used the key to get in. tried again, nothing. now relay clicks from the cm900. tried to connect it to the weblink desktop app and couldn't get it to connect. ordered a new cm900, programmed it and the unlock button on the remote only locks the truck. did some research and sounded like for whatever reason I might not be getting a good ground signal to the locks. tried the tapping a ground to each resistor and each functioned as it should. so I ordered a dei 451 relay. got it hooked up and the unlock button will lock and after a couple of presses the lock will unlock the truck. when I press the lock button, the relays in the cm900 will click but the 451 won't. on the 2nd/3rd try the 451 will click and unlock the truck. so after spending 3 hours trying to figure out why the locks are backwards (installed new resistors) I gave up and just wired it backwards for now to have it work. so I figured i'd reach out and see if anyone had a thought on why the remote is backwards. remote start works fine.
