I've been around car audio for awhile, but alarms simply baffle me. I purchased a '95 Dodge intrepid and the seller threw in a D.E.I. Sidewinder alarm with remote start that he had bought to install before he had to sell the car. I have the owners manual and instruction guide, as well as the car's wiring color codes. My questions concern extras for the alarm, including window roll-up(x4 doors), domelight and headlight supervision, remote trunk release and door unlock. What parts do I need that didn't come with the kit? Where can I find them at wholesale(I do have an EIN)? What would you reccomend as far as back up batteries, add on sirens for the interior and out and mounting for the alarm's computer(?) itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have already learned a lot from this site, and I thirst for more!
P.S. Does anyone know any Wholesale distributors for car audio, video, alarm.... other than The Wholesale House and Sylvester Electronics?
Hey wlg83,
Let's cut to the beef. To do four windows up you'll need two DEI 529T window modules. To do trunk release, door locks, domelight or any other accessory you need to add relays. The window module can be purchased at any DEI dealer but they aren't sold at warehouses. The closest you get to a warehouse is Crutchfield but they might not be DEI stuff.
