I have recently wired in a compustar cmx to my ls swapped caprice, running a holley terminator x. Only thing I dont have working is the AC/ Heat enable. Does anyone happen to know what wire I need to break / tap to run the HVAC in whatever state it was left in?

The accessory wire at the ignition harness should be orange. If that doesn't do it see if there's also a brown wire. You may need to power this as a second accessory wire.

what do you mean power it as a secondary?

As an additional accessory wire connection. Since you don't have a second ignition wire, you could reprogram the blue wire in the remote start harness (ignition 2 by default) to 2nd accessory.

Understood, thanks for the help. I just wasnt sure what else was on this circuit, my plan was to let the holley control it only after it sees rpm could the fan run, so the motor not trying to start with aditional load on it. I would program a output from the holley to engage a relay.

CMX, RS, module w drone
Holley Terminator X Max
1987 Caprice Classic

I think this is possible, The holley has a 12v accessory wire that turns on the ecu via ignition switch. Could I program a AUX wire on the CMX trigger a relay, Holley IGN though the contact side and shut it down via the app remotely?

It sounds like you're trying to temporarily disable the engine, like if carjacked, is this correct? If so you should be able to program one of the aux outputs to provide a latched output for up to 99 seconds (or up to 15 minutes with the latest OP500 firmware).

I don't have Drone so I can't speak from experience but I have read it is "flakey"/not dependable.

An alternative might be carrying a second remote in your pocket.

ok, can I tap the orange wire with the 2nd ignition or do I need to relay it? Compustar output HC harness says its 20amp.

I just realized the CMX typically comes with the low current CN2 harness and not the high current CN1. I would order the CN1 if you do not have it for simplicity. Otherwise you need to relay everything in the CN2 harness.

The orange wire is listed as the accessory wire and should connect to the white accessory wire in the CMX CM1 harness.

As for the second (brown) accessory wire, connect it to the blue wire in the CMX CM1 harness and program for accessory 2 (default is ignition 2).

ok, I got i working, i did not hook up the brown wire since i dont really want or need the radio to come on. later if that changes i can always go back and add it.
