I found this under the dash of a 2003 Toyota Matrix, it just says the words AUTO START. There is no other writing on the box…I want to be able to get a remote and try it but don’t know who makes it.
I’m hoping someone can recognize the brand. I don’t think it’s OEM but who knows.

I cleaned it up, still didn’t find any names but found a LOGO that someone should know.

Doesn't look like any Ultra Start unit I've dealt with. Those high power ignition circuits not in a connector (just terminal lugs on posts) almost looks like the old Bulldog units, almost.
Follow the antenna harness to the antenna. Is there anything on it? FCC ID, Freq, Model #?

Which is the antenna harness? I don’t see any antenna on the window but I’ll follow the wire .
The box is blank, no stickers or anything, I opened up the box and nothing inside either. Just see the board but no names or stickers in the box.

I think it's the one with the heat shrink at the end.

Yep, that would be my first choice. Harness on the side with 4 plugs, the plug by itself. Looks like 3 or 4 wires. ------------- Soldering is fun!

I followed it up the column and found it cut, old sticky tape is still behind the rear view mirror.
all the brain wires are indeed still connected.
any other ideas?

Not unusual for car dealers to remove aftermarket equipment they don't want to support.
I don't recognize that unit. It's hard enough to get / find working out-of-production remotes let alone an antenna.
Why not replace that unit with a current quality model like a Compustar CM925-s or a Prestige APSRS3Z. They go for under $70. Should be plain metal keys (no transponder chip) so no bypass module needed.
Assuming it worked before most of the wiring is already done. You would have to follow all the cuurent systems wires and ID the vehicle connections plus ensure quality connections if you plan on reusing the old wires. We can supply the vehicle wire locations and colors.

I would love to replace it but if its simple like getting a remote I wanted to go that route because its cost effective.
So I found out through lots of searching and comparing, its an UNGO by Clarion!!!!!
now I need to figure out which model so I can see if a remote will work before replacing the entire thing. Only problem is Clarion doesn't have all the models up there. Most are eliminated because there are 2 main plugs, mine has 1 and rest are individual terminals
can anyone help in figuring out which model UNGO this is?
