Clifford alarm died as wire sheath got worn by sun, and shorted out the alarm antenna input.

From what I see, viper equivalent would be a viper 5900, as both SST 1 mile and similar remotes just viper blue and Clifford carbon fiber.

If I unplug my alarm brain and plug viper in, will I need any special programming or just fobs? If for some reason, I can plug old back in correct?
