Hopefully gonna finally get around to installing my Compustar remote start and security system (9913AS) on my 2017 Nissan Altima this Friday. I’m wanting to use the starter kill feature with the relay that they provided but I’m also wanting to install a relay on the fuel pump fuse to basically “pull the fuse” any time the starter-kill is enabled. That way I have the ability to shut the car off if it’s running rather than relying on the starter being disengaged and having to wait for them to shut the car off to be completely disabled.

Anywho, does the starter-kill function only “engage” during certain circumstances or will tying it into a separate relay for the fuel pump cause the remote start to not work? I’ve never really tried customizing a remote start to this extent so I’m just wanting to make sure that when I locked the car and armed it that the remote start wouldn’t be disabled.

I did something similar for a neighbor, on a CM900-AS but I used an aux output set to a timed output to interrupt the coil to the fuel pump relay.

If carjacked with another remote in pocket, the engine can be shutdown a safe distance away. The carjacker(s) can keep cranking the engine but it will not start without fuel until the timed output expires (which can be several minutes). Alternatively, if the carjacker(s) bail(s) out, triggering the same timed aux output again will cancel it and restore fuel.
