Does anybody have an information on this alarm. I was thinking about buying it of the net. The dealer said that it is only avalible to dealerships in bulk. He has a bunch of them and is selling them individualy. ANY info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks;)

I install Audiovox and I'm very pleased with the product, but I've never heard of the model you mention. It may be an outdated model. If you can send me pics or specs, I may be able to decipher them for you. Also, see what you can find on it at audiovox.com.

Here a picture of the product....

On the left, I see the two white boxes, the two gold objects, and the two chrome pieces with rubber ends. It looks to me like a kit to open your car doors electrically, if you've removed the door handles----the gold solenoids release the door latch, and the rubber plungers push the door outward----I don't know what that kit is doing in the picture; I highly doubt he's giving them away with the alarms.
The rest of the stuff looks like a complete alarm, although a couple of small pieces aren't shown in the picture.
I see the box, siren, brain, shock sensor, main wiring harness, remotes, LED.....and a twin relay pack that could be used for some doorlock systems, but usually DOESN'T come with an alarm.
Missing from the picture are the instruction manuals, the shock sensor harness, the valet switch, and the doorlock harness.
Where I work, we use Audivox's Pursuit line.....Pursuit is for new-car dealers; Prestige is for retail sale.....the product is pretty much the same, I'm just not really an expert on the Prestige models. The one in the picture looks to be maybe one or two years old, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Also, some of the less-expensive Audivox alarms don't include the starter kill relay or a shock sensor---they must be purchased separately. You should make sure to find out if these pieces will be included with your alarms.
Many of their models can also do horn-honk, illuminated entry, and driver's-priority unlocking----but the entry-level models might not have those. If it's important to you, ask if those features are included.
Figure on a wholesale price for the entry-level model, shock, and kill being around $45, and $55 for the uplevel unit. If you're buying just one you can expect to pay more, but that should give you a rough idea what they're worth.
