The PK3 keys are the easiest transponder keys to program. You must start out with a good, black-headed key-----you can't use the gray Valet key to program new ones.
1. Turn key to Run.
2. Wait for SECURITY light to go out.
3. Turn key off and remove it.
4. Quickly, insert the new key and turn it to Run. Or if you prefer, turn it all the way to Start and start the engine. It doesn't matter if you start the engine or just turn it to Run---it will program either way.
TIP: If you're doing a remote start, you don't even have to cut the second key! You can use a new uncut key, or even an old one from a junkyard.
1. Install your immobilizer bypass module as usual, installing the un-programmed key into your module.
2. With a good key, turn the ignition to Run and wait for the SECURITY light to go out.
3. Turn the key off and remove it.
4. Quickly, remote start the car.
TIP: Some remote start brands don't respond quickly enough for the programming sequence to take place. If your remote start has a "ground to activate" input, use that instead of operating it with the remotes---it'll come on faster.
