Hello!

I just installed a two-way LCD alarm in my car. It sure took a long time fo the first timer. But it all went well and all tested OK. One last thing though I need to put LED scanner to add to my puny little red LED - I need a little input to install it better. My alarm has an output (negative) when armed and currently i use it for starter disable. I have connected this output  to a  diode and a relay for starter disable and I was thinking of  connecting my LED scanner  to this output. Now my scanner only draws 8ma and i am thinking of adding one diode between the scanner and alarm output.

Output
( Neg. When armed)          IN 4003
   @------------------------------|<------------LEDSCANNER-----+ Positive constant
   |
   |    IN4003
    -----|<------ RELAY FOR STARTER DISABLEL

I dont think i need a relay for this it's only 8ma, relay draws100-200ma.. or do I?

Anybody has a better idea to install this LED scanner?

If you were to install it how would you do it?

Thanks,

i just put some flashers in my windshield, my car already has a factory starter kill (new gm) so i didn't bother with the alarm started kill, so i just ran my (-) output to my flashers... if you don't want to use your starter kill output, why not just run an accessory channel to your scanner?
