Hello All. I am just asking this question to make sure that I am correct or so someone can correct me and help me out. I have a 1990 Ford Mustang with power windows and locks but no keyless entry system. I am pretty sure that I need to follow the 5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive Door Locks diagram. Am I correct or not? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all. The alarm being installed is a Clifford XL1000. One more thing, how about the trunk release. Would I use the same type of relay as for the locks?

Erick

You have a reverse polarity system in the Ford and also the trunk release is a (+) pulse input. If your Clifford has a (-) output trunk release wire you will need a relay to reverse the polarity for this wire. For the reverse polarity door lock system you can go here: https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#arp for the relays configuration.

So after I build the relays, I would follow the wiring diagram for a reverse polarity system that came with my alarm?  Thanx again Jeff.

I put the relays together, but have a question about the wiring. Here is a picture of the wiring diagram for my alarm. It is on the second page.

Relays I made.

I am alittle confused on the wire coming from the relay that is supposed to be connected to the actuators. Any help with the wiring would be appreciated. Thank you all.

Hey Erick; the Clifford has built in relays so you won't have to add relays to your installation. Just hook up according to the diagram on page 2 , diagram # 1 and your set.All should be good after this.
