I had an alarm installed on a 2002 mercury sable. The shop did not hook up the dome light supervision feature. I have the install manual, it's for the python 880xp alarm. I am not sure how to connect the relay. The wiring diagram shows the following. Terminal 85 goes to the alarm brain (h1/4 blk/wht. Terminal 86 goes to 12V constant fused. That part I understand. This is where I am confused. Terminal 87 goes to domelight supervision polarity (+) or (-). Terminal 30 goes to domelight supervision wire. Which wires are these. Am I just looking for the dome light wire and cutting it and then hooking up the switch side to terminal 87 and the domelight side to terminal 30 ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

If the polarity of your domelight is positive then connect 87 to positive, if negative then conncet 87 to ground. 30 goes to the domelight wire, don't cut it just tap into it, merge them together,solder or twist and tape...
your connecting 87 to mimmic the polarity that the domelight needs to turn on ....and 30 will connect to that wire and give the polarity. don't cut it just tap into the wire and connect it so that 30 gives it what it wants in order to turn on. if you cut it then it will only work with your alarm and not with the doors..Good luck..bye
