I have a 2000 s10 standard cab, and i had a black widow alarm/keyless entry installed by local technicians and they didnt do the best of jobs, when i hit the arm button the siren sounds but the doors dont lock, when i hit the unlock button the drivers side does nothing and the passenger side will sometimes unlock sometimes not but will always make a rattling sound as if trying to unlock, they installed aftermarket actuators and i thought maybe the problem was they werent getting enoug power because they were tapped into a wire powering a neon light and had worked the first day they installed it but not after so i ran a new cable but still same thing, i read a ton of posts first but still cant come up with what could be causing it. thanx in advance for the help.

Sounds like whoever installed the actuators did not line up the actuators properly and they are binding on the door panel or the door frame. If you add actuators to exisitng door pins, you have to make sure that the lock / unlock action is smooth otherwise the actuators are not strong enough to pull the lock pin up and down.

I did notice when taking off the door panel that when I manually lock and unlock the door the actuator isnt moving, only one of the rods is, could it be that the clamp isnt tight enough? and the driver side door doesnt move at all.

You found the problem then, the actuator is suppose to move with the locking tab of the door. Just tighten the screw and you should be good.
