Here's the problem...

It has happened twice in the last three months.

The first time, I went to my car and all of a sudden the master remote wont disarm the alarm. When this happened, i was stuck not being able to turn on the ignition or start the car and the Clifford Self-Powered Siren kept on blaring.

The second time, I woke up because the siren was going off on its own and when i went to disarm it, the master remote didn't work again. I removed the master wire (power) harness and siren plug, and just jumped the necessary wires to get my car going.

When this happens, the master remote doesn't work and the bypass switch which look like -> [*][ ] wont accept any inputs either. The alarm LED doesn't even light up. The alarm eventually starts working again and everything works like normal.

Are these Clifford AG4's affected by heat (both times the car was in direct sunlight - 85-90+ degrees)? Does anyone have any ideas? Please help before i scrap this alarm. Thanks.

Ask yourself ---how old is the install??? has the battery corroded the fuse holders for the alarm??? do the holders show meltage?? wrench on them and see if you can make it do odd things!! have you had a windshield done ?? where is your antenna, check it very well !! Check you battery ground , back to basics , it is something real simple(normally) I have had problems with these also different stuff but unexplainable never the less. Are you keys in the heat also??? you many have a (wacky) button  if you have other remotes try un-soldering a button from and old dead remote and put it in you #1 position. You keep saying the master remote doesnt work , does the 2nd one?? I hope you dont need to scrap it , but sometimes extra features = extra pains. clifford has done this to me also @ times .... I hope this helped !!!
