Hello guys? I am a big fan of this site. I have a few questions I need help with. I checked the vehicle information data for a 93 Lesabre, the FASD WIRE should be lt green in dr kick panel, but I checked all the wires with that color to no avail.I bypassed the VATS system, the car won't start. Do I need to find the FASD wire for the car in order to start? Where would I find the FASD wire? any help is greatly appreciated.

What is FASD? Do you mean factory alarm disarm?

Not all of those cars will have a factory alarm. But even if it does, it doesn't prevent the car from starting......when you remote start, the horn will honk and lights will flash, but the engine will still start and run.

The only two ways to arm the alarm are to lock the power locks and then close the door.....or to lock the car with the factory keyless entry, if you have that. So for right now, you can just not arm the factory alarm until you get the rest of the system working.

To test if your VATS interface is at fault, put the VATS wiring back to factory spec, but leave the key all the way in the ignition when you try to remote start the car. If it remote starts now, you have a problem with your VATS interface.

On the other hand, if it still won't remote start even with the key in the ignition and the factory alarm not armed, you have other problems. Troubleshoot and correct the problem(s), get the system working, and leave the VATS and disarm for last.
