if you need to extend the length of the wires from an LED scanner can you just butt connect them to an 18 gauge wire or so?  or is them another way to do it

those little things with  a few leds in them? Yea 18 gauge is fine, 22 would probably be fine as well, they draw very little current

I wouldn't worry a bit about the size or length of the wire. xetmes hit it on the head when he says that they don't draw anything. posted_image
