i'm having trouble finding a place to mount the solenoid for shaved door handles on a  '97 civic hx.  does anyone out there know where the best spot to mount them is on this car.  i need a specific location not just a general answer.   thanks----d

can you get a picture of your door without the panel?

Also, do you plan to keep the interior handles or no?

Hey...just an idea....on my integra (somewhat similar door panel to the civic), I put actuators on the door where the panel's armrest would come up to the door. In other words, the armrest leaves a gap when you put the panel back on the door. I believe the civic does the same thing (because I've taken the panel off my girlfriend's civic a million times for a busted window), and I'm pretty sure that does the same thing. You can just temporarily put the solenoid there, and put the panel up to the door, and see if it interferes with the solenoid.

just an idea. good luck :-)
