Does anyone know if you can reuse the led and glass break senson fro the VIP 3000 for an aftermarket alarm?Just curious. Wanna keep that factory look and save some bread on the glass break sensor!

The glass break sensor on the dashboard is only a microphone, I think. There is probably a special circuit inside the Toyota alarm brain that processes the audio from the mic, and I don't think the mic would do you any good alone.

The LED is likely to work. There shouldn't be any harm in trying, anyway. Just make a temporary connection at first until you're sure. And it won't work if the polarity is backward, so try it both ways.
