Hello all,
Well, I tried to save a few bucks and install Mopar fog lights and the EVS 2/IT-s security modules in my 2003 Jeep Liberty. Verdict- fogs work, car doesn't. After installing the Sentry Key module, I stupidly hooked it up to test it, without having the keys programmed, and now the car is dead. Tried unhooking the module, unhooking the battery, all to no avail. Looks like it'll have to be towed to the dealer unless somebody can give me an idea for getting it to start again.
Looks like the PCM or BCM read the EVS module, and now even though it's unplugged, won't start for more than 10 secs. BTW, the wiring color codes for the IT-S shock sensor in the included directions are WRONG for the 2003 Jeep.
Any help?:(
Thanks,
Joe
Hello again,
Well, Jeep is running after a tow to the dealer and $100.00. I guess aftermarket alarm would have been smarter. Anyone have any luck wiring Mopar's IT-S shock sensor? The dealer could not make it work on my 2003 Jeep Liberty.
Thanks,
Joe
OK, for anyone interested in hooking up the IT-S shock sensor to an '03 Liberty, the correct colors are:
Blue sensor wire to 12-gauge blue/red wire under knee bolster.
Red sensor wire to red 12-gauge wire under knee bolster.
Tan/black sensor wire to purple / YELLOW wire in pin 9 of connector #1, 26 pin located (looking from the inside) to the right of the main wiring junctions, under dash near driver's door.
Black sensor wire to ground.
All fixed!
