I just installed a Commando RS-560 alarm with a remote start following the install manual exactly and using the Primary Ignition wire color code of yellow and secondary ignition color code of pink on the ignition switch harness of the 2003 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup truck with a automatic transmission.
The manual from Commando ( GNU Industries, Inc. ) shows me how to hook up a 30 Amp. relay for the system, the relay is working great as a starter cutout relay when armed but I get the feeling it is not supposed to work as a remote start relay as well, I am not able to get the truck to start with the remote control at all......is it necessary to add a second relay to the unit so I can enable remote start function?
The Yellow wire only shows a positive 12 V. reading in the start position of the ignition switch while the pink wire shows a positive 12 V. reading in the on position, the accessory position and the run position, do I have the correct colors of these wires for the primary and secondary ignition circuits?
I put the Pass-Mod unit in the truck following the installation manual directions for a Passlock 2 system.
Is there a third ignition wire in the system somewhere?

You need to enter start feature programming mode before the car will start. Make sure you have the siren hooked up because that is really the only way to know if you are in programming mode or not. Look in your manual at the last programming mode instuctions which is for testing the start feature.
