i have a 92 honda accord and i just installed my alarm. The lock/unlock function works, the panic works, when the car is armed and i try to start the car my alarm goes off , but my problem is that whenever i open a door while the car is armed nothing happens  and i have no clue what is going on. my alarm has a - and a + door pin switch but i didn't hook them up because i had no clue what they were for, so i am guessing this is my problem. If someone could inform me on how i hook up the door pin switches, if that is my problem,  that would be a huge help. thanx

yes thats your problem you have a negative trigger in that car so you will use the negative trigger wire off the alarm and the other wire will just get taped up .Your wire is either black and white or white with black it is supposed to be in a brown connector above the fuse panel.now all you have to do is connect that wire to the negatie input on that alarm.you should always double check info with a dmm(digital multimeter)to make sure yuou have the corect wire this wire will show a positive signal when the door pin is pressed and it will be negative when it is released(door open)if you do not have a meter than you can always go to the pin switch itself and and tap your wire there .posted_image

okay, i found the wire and i hooked it up but every time i arm the alarm it just goes off in like 5 seconds for no reason at all. Does anyone know the cause of this ? and where would the actual door pin switch in the car be? any help would be great...thanx
