Elbow deep in wires and coming up with lots of questions, actually making good progress, slow but getting there anyway

alarm is clifford matrix RS3
truck is 2000 ford superduty diesel

The questions
I have also purchased for this alarm a glass break sensor and a proximity sensor. All are DEI. The shock sensor that came with the alarm the plugs dont match (size wise) with the harness that came with the glass break sensor (an already spliced unit). So I figure i have to cut and splice to proper end on the harness. The proximity sensor as I understand I need to splice this into the harness as well. If I need extra wire to the proximity sensor can I add or will this mess up the sensor, I know they run pretty low current. Also I am toying with the idea of mounting the proximity sensor in the roof under the headliner, is this a good or a bad idea. I dont really have a center console to put it in. Plus I figured this would give it a better "view" of the bed of the truck. I do fear though that it will pick up all sorts of movement on the sides of the truck, like when someone pulls in next to me. Since it can not "see" through metal can you build blinders for it to limit side motion to closer to the truck?

Next question. I need to tie in the remote start relays (big gang of them) plus the starter kill relay from the alarm can I tie in the starter kill wire from the alarm relay and the remote start wire from that relay together on the car side of the starter kill relay? What method do most of you use to tie into the 12v+ in the ignition harness. Peel thread and solder the wires together? or is there a better method. I cant see tee taps or any other similar splice giving enough juice, especially for the starter.

Thanks again for your time

I have my proximity sensor in the headliner of my Jeep. Actually it is placed in the overhead console and I don't have a single problem with it! Had to run longer wires to it with no adverse affects. The headliner is actually the best place IMHO!

For me, to ensure no problems on the remote start, like you said:"Peel, thread, and solder the wires together" the heavy gauge wires - soldered in.

I took out the car today, and went out with the family.  Had to get something out of my wife's truck and my car was next to it and as I was walking by, the warn was going off=just by walking in between them in the parking lot. Will it piss people off?  I need to adjust it.

Yea, for your second question, I usually just peel away some of the rubber stripping, separate the wire, and thread the remote starts wire in between and wrap it around. I tape the crap out of it with 3M 33 tape (works great), and then zip tie it. I've never had a problem. I realize soldering is much better, but that's too permanent for me. :-)
