Hey guys,  I just ordered an alarm system which comes with built in door lock relays.  Does this mean that I can install 2 wire aftermarket door lock actuators on both front doors without the need for another relay?   If i'm not mistaken, the aftermarket 2 wired actuators are possitive and negative right? basically the motor runs neg. and unlocks and to lock it runs possitive, or vise versa/?? thanks much!!

Mark

The 2 wire door lock motors actually will reverse polairty to lock and unlock the doors( meaning when you lock the door one wire will have positive and one ground, when you unlock the polairty will switch)....you should be able to run them off of an alarm with built in door lock relays, just wire them up according to the instructions with the alarm
