you can do a search here for "remote start." most alarms you can add one touch window operation, sunroof closure, etc. I say, invest in a DEI product, some will tell you that there are other products that are good too. __________________ I love the12volt.com• -------------

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

DEI makes a good product, but they are not the be all and end all...I use their stuff mainly because I am familiar with it...it is good and reliable, but sometimes their customer support is poor...they own a few different alarm divisions and are all decent alarms...
CompuStar seems to be a decent alarm as well, it seems they have improved alot over a few years ago when I heard nothing but horror stories and returns...
Ungos are reportedly OK as well, from friends in the industry who work at a shop that deals with Clarion...
Jeff may be able to help you out a little more cuz I think he is familiar with alot more brands than I am...I think I saw him talking about a different alarm that I know nothing about, but if he endorses it I dun think it would be all that bad, heh...

From personal experience and taste I'd go DEI. I must say their Viper was/is quite popular. Not only am I an DEI advocate I'm also a user (Hornet 554T).
