After installing a remote start on the above car...I noticed that when I shift gears from park to either drive or reverse, the radio will mute for about 4 seconds. I narrowed it down to the starter wire on the remote start and I am writing this to see if anyone else here has experienced the same problem and if they have a solution.

Does this happen only for that one instance or every time you do it after remote start until you remove the key and start with the key ? Sounds like you missed one of the IGN wires.
