I have had the joy of fixing/reinstalling an couple of RCSs in handicapped vans with controls for door lifts etc. My best advice is to get in contact with the installer of the lift to get schematics for them. Every one that I have worked on did have low level -ve or +ve inputs it's just a matter of knowing what goes where. The other thing to keep in mind is some units will need 3 or 4 channels, 1 to open the door 1 to make the lift come out another for lift up and then if there's keyless entry one for those. But first of all see if you can get in touch with the lift installer. If you can hook up with him they are a very good source of income, especially if you can install your stuff before the handicap gear goes in.
Happy metering
