Worked for about 3 hours last night on a relatives vehicle intergrating a Blackjax system into a alarm with no anti-carjacking system (other then the siren and lights going off the door triggers)
Now, because of the remote start, I had to use a relay to keep the Blackjax from intializing on remote start - easy enough - just used the relay to cut "ground" when the main unit was remote starting the car. That way, she didn't have to run out to the car to input her code. Works like a charm.
The problem is - how do I get it to activate Blackjax when she is driving at her discretion? She likes the fact that it takes a minute or so before it kicks in and kills the car. The alarm she has now will sound the siren and flash the lights the minute the doors are opened - not good if you want to get away. Any help is appreciated! I am tired and can't think straight.
I give up on working late at night, I get tired, can't see or think straight. How about a switch to activate the blackjax. I remember opening my friends car door while we were rolling because the seatbelt got caught in the door and it wasn't closed all the way. I opened the door to get the seatbelt and he paniced and pulled over REAL fast. Everything shut down within like 15 seconds.

Well I was going to go off an aux channel of her main system - but she doesnt have one available. So I think I am going to go with a ghost switch. That way she has control over when she wants it on.
