I let my brother-in-law borrowed my car to the lake the other day and he got the remote wet. Stupid he is, he open the door with the key and the alarm siren came on. The car would not start so his stupid friend start looking for the brain box and disconnected it. That was the only way to start the car. Now everytime I reconnect the connector, the siren would sound and it won't respond to my remote. How do I program the brain to respond to my remote again? The idiot could've call me to ask how to disarm it with the bypass switch, but said "I forgot about that." My alarm is the DEI Sidewinder 6500 ESP.

The remote must have been swimming to not work anymore.  Do you have a spare remote?  otherwise...gonna need a new one.

Besides trying to disarm with the remote. I cannot manually disarm it with the bypass switch either. How can this be. Also I lost my other spare remote. So my only choice is to buy new remotes and reprogram it.

Does anyone know a website for me to order the remote for my DEI Sidewinder 6500 ESP alarm? DEI's website don't sell products.

ok here you if the the remote is goodwe can do this   I would first take the remote apart and clean real good, alot of people the its trash now but not all the time.clean with rubbing acol. take of all carotion on all pins.. now as for programing turn on the ign to the run pos. when you have it on press and release you valet button once and twice. as you press the it  this 2nd time you hold it you will then hear one chrip still holding the button you press button one on the remote.you will then get another chrip (saying it got it)   now release the valet button and repeat, this time you will hear two chrip and then repeat again. all 3 ch will be programed  now turn the key off andyoull hear the siren make a weird sound and now it done.. hope this is what you wanted
