I have a 98 Ford Ranger Truck with a Clifford Avant Guard 4 alarm I installed this weekend. I have all the different wiring diagrams for my truck and the complete 24 page install manual from Clifford. However, when the truck starts it does everything it is susposed to. Even the lights flash two times before the truck starts to indicate everything is fine, but after starting the starter is still engaged. The truck is running and the starter is still spinning and then after ten seconds the truck turns off and then does it all over again. Everything else works perfectly.

Why?

Am I an Idiot?

Please help

Most likely the problem is your remote start (ignition wire)is hooked up to your starter wire in your ignition switch harness (RED / light blue wire).

hope this helpsposted_image
