I HAVE A 500 ESP VIPER ALARM AND THE SIREN STOP WORKING. ALL THE SENSORS WORK AND THE LIGHTS FLASH WHEN THE ALARM GOES OFF. I CHECKED THE RED WIRE TO THE SIREN AND IT WAS GETTING POWER .I THINK THE SIREN IS BURNT OUT BUT HOW CAN I TELL.  CAN I PUT ANY SIREN OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE THEONE THAT IT CAME WITH?

HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

you should be able to replace that siren with any standard alarm siren that takes a +12V output from the alarm's BCM.
good luck!

The sirens do die sometimes.. they are always exposed to the elements being up under the hood and exposed to a lot of heat too.. it happens now and then.

Make sure you check to see if the siren is still grounded before you start taking things apart.
