Hey,

Last time I posted I was on the verge of getting this installed by a true professional. So I took it up to Car tunes and got it installed. I was so psyched cause now it finally works and isn't all messed up right? Wrong.

Basically what happens is sometimes, for no reason at all, the remote will just not work. I've tried both the master and companion remotes and neither will work when it doesn't want to. But all the rest of the time it receives all the commands no problem.

I've checked the batteries in both of the remotes, my car has windows tinting, would that affect anything?

The vehicle is a 2000 Jeep Chereokee Sport.

Thanks, Adam

Check to be sure the antenna is plugged into the brain all the way I have seen many people not put the effort into plugging it in all the way and when you hit a bump int the road it loosens. This has been the solution almost every time.

Hey,

I will check that out in a little bit. Is it possible for the antenna to be faulty?

Thanks, Adam

some alarms have code hopping where the alarm learns the remote but the remote doesnt have a signal thats the same every time. My alarm has code hopping so sometimes i have to push the same button twice to get it to work.

What?

code hoppimg would not allow both remotes to not work at a specific time and both to work later on, trust me check the antenna

yeah clifford antennas are tricky make sure it's stucked all the way. As far as as code hoping I don't think there's such thing as to need to click the remote a few times to get it working.  It should work at once otherwise there's a fault either in the remote or the receiver.  I installed clifford for 4 years I never saw anything like it.
