Hi everyone,

I have some quick questions on the DEI mercury switches, the instructions showed the switch tilted at angles in which the contacts were closed and open (tilted the other way). Are these switches normally mounted as normally closed or normally open? In other words, do these need to be mounted on a perfectly horizontal surface? Or does the brain set itself according to switches' position when arming?

Also, for the proximity sensor, the diagram shows that this should be mounted in the center of the vehicle. If this is a hard-top, can it be mounted to the roof/ceiling? It seems that if mounted in between the seats, the seats would block the sensor's wavelengths, frequencies, etc. and be less effective.

The mercury switch is normally open, you can mount to just about any surface and bend the bracket to brake contact. As for the radar sensor, if you really wanted to put it in the headliner you could but under the seat will work just fine.
