I need some help with a 1997 Ford Thunderbird.  I am in the process of installing a remote start/alarm on this car and I have conflicting information.  What type door locks/unlock does it have and what are the wires?  And what/where is the tach wire?  Thanks.

If I measure the voltage on the pink/green unlock wire to ground it reads nothing, how could it be negative pulse lock?  And, I still need the tach wire.  Thanks.

true, but have you try flipping the door lock switch while testing it?

note: Some models of this vehicle are equipped with PATS (Passive Anti Theft System). Use DEI module 555F to over-ride during remote start.

Yeah, when you hit the switch, both the lock and unlock wires show positive 12 volts for about 3 seconds.

Also, is there anywhere inside the car I can get the tach from?

does the car have a factory keyless entry???

if so you have a neg system. if not you need to use the 5 wire rev. polarity
