My truck is 2002 avalanche. I just installed a hornet 554t on it. In the ignition harness my truck has a heavy gauge brown ignition wire in it. Does anybody know what this powers? Do I need to power it for remote start, or just be happy with the white and pink ones? Thanks!

The BROWN wire only controls the wipers & cigarette light, etc. Not required for RS operations.

Wire it in. I've followed the don't install idea and got complaints cause things don't want to work (like the blower). Either that or I got the wrong ign wire. It's not that much more trouble to add the extra relay and power up the other iteams.
