Okay, I have  the Hornet 554T and the DEI 530T Window Module coming in the mail this week. The manual (on page 7-8) says that I need to use a diode if I want to add accessories to the "Ground-When-Armed Output".

The Ground-When-Armed Output is just a single wire correct? Do I need a diode for the starter kill and then one for the 530T? The diagram shows the GWA Output with the accessory running off of it normal and then the starter kill on a diode. Do I need to connect the diode and my GWA part of the 530T to the same spot on the GWA output of the alarm? Or do I need to splice my 530T in before the diode or does it not matter?

Thanks,

Tony

you'll want to take the GOWA lead (orange wire from alarm) and make a "Y" of it with two diodes with the bands pointing towards the alarm brain

then wire one arm of the "y" to the start kill relay and the other to the rollup wire on the 530T... this isolates the two circuits

Sorry for all the little details, but would I make the Y out of the GWAO wire itself or just make a Y using the diodes? And also, so it is correct that I have to use 2 diodes?

Here's a crude drawing, which way would be better?
