Blew my  central locking motor after a few weeks of use but couldn't figure out why because there was no stress on the motor. Took out the relays today and tested the wires and guess what!! - there was a constant 12v  output from the two central locking wires of the cpu!! Now aint that weird? How can it be possible? Also when i lock , the 12v output went down and then up again. The thing happened for unlock.

Now i know that it should be the other way around - 0volts when normal, and then a + or -12v pulse when lock or unlock. No wonder my actuator got fried - the damn CPU kept on feeding a constant 12v pulse to my relays!!!

Please help me the alarm is a Lynx 2000R.

when you operate the drivers door lock (by hand) does it control all of the doors????

if so have you thought about adding an aftermarket motor to the drivers door and have the alarm operate that motor...........
