I've installed several remote starts on some nissan vehicles and a camry with two starter wire I've always connected them together with each other except when the remote starter has a dedicated 2nd starter output like the compustar 2000as does am i doing anything bad by conecting the 2 crank wires together. I have done this several times and never had a problem yet. Just curious thanks.

Hey Jay, my rule of thumb is if there are two wires that do the same thing but are separated, there's a reason why they were. I would just make sure they are isolated from each other just in case. A relay is alot cheaper than a new ignition harness or ECM.
