This site kicks ass! I'm almost finished installing a Crimestopper RS900V into my Santa Fe. I just need help locating/verifying the wire for the Tachmeter, the power lock/unlock, and the parking lamp. Any response would be helpful. Also, the alarm is an addon model for remote start. It activates by connecting a wire to the lock switch. Can I just connect it to the same power lock wire. Thank you.

Thanx fordfan for the info. I have the same info though. I must be slow or something but can anyone be a little more specific? Power Lock-DKP, is that in front by the fuses or on the left side by the drivers door? Where is the 8 pin connector located, in front by the fuses, in back of the fuses or on the side? Power Unlock-Left of dash? Tach Wire-is the coil in the engine compartment and/or isn't there another way to connect it because I didn't want to run a wire going to the engine. Thank You.

You can get tach on the inside on that car---the wiring sheet below has the correct information. No need to run wires underhood.
There is a black rectangular plug just to the right of the fuse box. You can find brake and parking lights in there, near the top of the plug. Or get parking lights at the dash dimmer switch.
If you're doing an add-on remote start, look for the wires labeled "lock motor" and "unlock motor." They will turn positive when the locks are operated.

I've finally finished. Thanx Chris for the info about the add-on remote start, that is exactly what I was stuck on. It works perfectly ... except for one thing. I probably wired it incorrectly but I was hoping that maybe you or someone could tell me which wire I wired incorrectly. I programmed the remote start to start the car after 3 pulses from the lock button on my remote, unfortunately, the only way for the car to start was to press the unlock button first and THEN the lock button. Pressing the lock button 3 times does nothing. Any ideas on correcting this? Thank you. Jay

I was trying out a few things with the remote start and I discovered that if I'm inside the car and press unlock on the door and then lock, the car would start. I wired the 3-pin power door lock connector from the Crimestopper to the powerlock(yellow) powerunlock(WHITE/ black) wires located at the DKP white 22 pin plug. The 3-pin connector consists of a negative lock wire, negative unlock wire, and a 12v Coil power(which says for use with external relays). I didn't use the 12v wire. The green start activation wire from the Crimestopper I connected to the lock motor wire(gray) also located at the DKP white 22 pin plug. Did I reverse something?

disconnect everything you did and take to professional. Security system not properly installed will result in major vehicle damage. if something does not work after you disconnect everything check fuses inside and under the hood if that does not fix problems see mechanic.
